Let’s Walk Together
Toward a Brighter Future
Dedicated Psychiatric Treatment and Medication Management
1420 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101
Hi, I’m sarah and I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who has worked in private practice in private practice for over a decade treating children, adolescents, and adults in the Cambridge area. I believe mental health treatment is a process that takes time. This is why I take a more symptom oriented approach with a depth-oriented understanding of psychological development.
I see children, adolescents, and adults. We begin with a consultation and over several sessions we will collaborate with families, schools and any other providers needed. I’ll give my recommendations of what course of action to take. Also, we will work together to find the best treatment for you.
During our sessions, you are more than welcome to ask any questions that come to mind. You are in a safe and welcoming atmosphere where there are no “stupid” questions.
We will work together to find the right treatment that suits your needs. After all, every individual is different and as we work together, I will adapt to said needs to provide the best possible service.
During our visits, I will monitor the effects of the medication that you are currently placed on. I will inquire about the side effects, and at times, use genetic testing if you experience multiple medication failures
I use several therapy methods to work in combination with the medication to help you form new healthy habits.
I offer consultations, which last 45-60 min. This will help me to understand what led you to treatment. I will be focusing on your current symptoms and exploring stressors along with existing coping mechanisms to develop your treatment plan.
“I cannot recommend [psychiatrist name] more. She was a great listener and accommodating to my needs. She worked me to find the right medication."
Anxiety is normal. It’s a function that we all have. However, it can be overwhelming at times and prevent you from living your life.
It’s okay to feel sad, that’s normal. Although depression can feel like a weight that prevents you from accomplishing daily tasks, it can go on for a while before that weight is lifted. Depression on a surface level is a persistent depressed mood or loss of interest in activities that you typically enjoy.
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder is a chronic condition. Those with ADHD are typically more impulsive and have limited attention. However, these symptoms can be managed with medication and talk therapy.
Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition where an individual is recovering from a terrifying event. People can experience nightmares or unwanted memories of the event. However, symptoms can be managed with trauma-focused psychotherapy and medication.
Starting is easy. Simply contact my office and we will set up a time to meet. During our first session I will be going over what issues you are currently dealing with. After that, we will work together to find the right treatment plan for you..
This depends on the person. However, after we find a medication that sounds like it will work for you, we will have follow up appointments to track how you are doing with that current medication and adjust accordingly.
Everyone is different. Psychotherapy can solve psychological and emotional difficulties. However, research has shown that psychotherapy and medication can be the most effective treatment.
I work with children (10+) adolescents (13-19) and adults (20-64).
Yes, we accept insurance from most providers. If your insurance is not listed, you can call your provider to see if they will reimburse you for paying out-of-pocket.
That’s no problem at all. We charge $200 per session and $400 for the initial consultation for those who do not have insurance or do not want to use their insurance.
